Two-factor authentication guide

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining strong security standards, from Monday 2 November 2026, all Consilium Wrap users will need to use two-factor authentication (2FA) when signing in.

Going forward, you will be prompted to enter your username and password as usual, then enter the verification code sent to you.

Quick login guide

1. Log in to the Consilium Portal:
my.consiliumwrap.co.nz/Login

2. Enter your Consilium Wrap username and password.

3. When prompted, check for your verification code. The code will be sent by SMS to your registered mobile number where available, or by email if no mobile number is held on your account.

4. Enter the six-digit code within 10 minutes. The message will read 'Your Consilium verification code is 123456'.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Consilium Wrap introducing 2FA?

2FA adds another layer of protection to help safeguard accounts, protect client information and reduce the risk of unauthorised access.

Who needs to use 2FA?

All Consilium Wrap users, including investors as well as advisers.

When does 2FA begin?

From 5pm on Monday 2 November 2026. This will be required each time you login.

Will my username or password change?

No. Continue to use your existing username and password. The verification code is an additional step after these details are entered.

How will I receive my code?

By SMS to your registered mobile number where available. If a mobile number is not held, the code will be sent by email.

How long is the code valid?

10 minutes from the time it is issued.

Can overseas users receive a code?

Yes. International mobile numbers can receive verification codes. Email is used where applicable if a mobile number is not held.

Should I share a verification code with anyone?

No. Treat verification codes like passwords. Do not share them or enter them in response to an unexpected request.

Helpful login tips

  • Check to see if you have received the verification code via text message or email. Confirm you have mobile signal and you have checked your email junk or spam folder. Wait briefly, then request a new code when the login screen offers that option.

  • Verification codes are valid for 10 minutes. Return to the login screen and request a new code, then enter it promptly. Use only the latest code received.

  • Check that the full six-digit code was entered correctly and has not expired. If multiple codes were requested, enter the most recent one.

  • Contact your adviser firm or Consilium (0800 497 272) so the registered contact details can be checked and the appropriate update process followed.

  • International mobile numbers are expected to receive verification codes. If the text message does not arrive, check your email inbox, including your spam folder, then contact your adviser firm or Consilium (0800 497 272).

  • 2FA does not replace the normal username and password. Use the existing login recovery option if available, or contact your adviser firm or Relationship Manager for help. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset this on the login screen.

  • Do not share the code or continue with the request. Close the message or browser and contact your adviser firm or Consilium on 0800 497 272.

  • Record the time of the attempt and any error message shown. Do not include your password or verification code. Provide those non-sensitive details to your adviser firm or email Consilium support@consilium.co.nz.
